Admission Requirements

The following key requirements for admission to UC Santa Cruz:

• Acceptance Rate: Approximately 47-65% (moderately selective).
• International Scholarships: Dean's Award up to $100,000 for exceptional international students.
• Official Transcripts: Required from all secondary and post-secondary institutions.
• Standardized Test Scores: SAT/ACT not required (Test-Blind).
• Minimum GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (competitive applicants have 3.4+).
• Personal Insight Questions (PIQs): 4 out of 8 prompts, 350 words each.
• Financial Documentation: Proof of ability to cover tuition + living expenses (~$70,000/year).
• English Language Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 80+ or IELTS 6.5+ or Duolingo 115+.
• Coursework Requirements: 15 year-long A-G courses.
• Application Deadline (Fall 2026): November 30, 2025.
